Excursions (2011)

In 2011 Field Theory was awarded a ‘Cultural Leadership’ grant from the Australia Council. As we had no idea what a cultural leader should be or do, we went about a series of exercises of investigation. One of these would manifest in the project Durational Lattes. Another was to support writing for the website LALA. The last part of the grant was to explore the landscape of contemporary participatory practice through excursions.

These Excursions generated reading groups, tours, interdisciplinary dialogues and a forum. They were spread out across sites in Sydney and Melbourne.
